Wexford Health has an exceptional opportunity for a per diem Staff Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals at the Hill Correctional Center in Galesburg, IL.
Under the direct supervision of the designated Wexford manager, the Staff Assistant will provide general secretarial and receptionist services to the Administrative Director(s) of the unit. The proper candidate will work effectively with patient, medical and nursing staff, security staff at all levels, administrative and support staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform clerical/technical duties.
Prepare and type reports/correspondence for Administrative Director(s).
Answer telephone, relay messages and transfer calls as appropriate.
Develop and maintain filing system for all material.
Schedule appointments for Administrative Director(s).
Other duties as required and/or assigned.
Work Environment: Standard medical setting within a correctional facility, which includes daily interfacing with inmates, correctional staff, and health care personnel.
Certification: Current CPR certification
Experience: Minimum two (2) years secretarial experience. Proficient in the use of computer, dictating and copying equipment
Education: High school graduate or equivalentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
