Program Support Specialist I

Basic Job Duties
Provide program support to specific identified programs and provide back up to other Central Business Office (CBO) staff. The CBO staff is responsible for all support and clerical functions in coordination with the Central Business Office policies and procedures. The CBO staff will present Bridgeway in a positive, professional manner and maintain the rights of confidentiality for each consumer served.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet and direct consumers to appropriate places. Provide accurate scheduling for consumers. Request consumer payment when necessary and write receipt. Provide program support for all clerical functions including answering telephone. Receive and ensure all accuracy and process for necessary signatures on all dictated documentation. Responsible for typing and filing when necessary. Maintain supply of forms for clinical and support staff. Respond to all consumer questions in a timely manner. Communicate consumer concerns in a timely manner. Work closely with PSS II to establish an efficient support system providing back up to other PSS I whenever necessary. Must be able to provide billable services when appropriate. Must obtain training or education if required.
Education/Training Requirements
Associate degree and/or one year related experience (secretarial, business, medical). Experience in assisting consumers in a social service agency.
Other Requirements
Must have working knowledge of computer, word processing packages, assorted office equipment such as fax machines, copiers and telephone. Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects at once. Possess the ability to work efficiently under pressure and deal objectively and professionally with others. Possess the ability to communicate accurately and precisely both orally and in writing. Must attend Blood Borne Pathogens and OIG Abuse and Neglect training within the first 10 day of employment and annually thereafter; must attain and maintain First Aid, and Adult CPR certification. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and good driving record. Must attend Corporate Compliance and Security Rule training.
Employment is conditional upon passing Illinois Healthcare Worker Background Check
$9.00 - $10.80 / hour

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
